The Queen’s Birthday weekend in early June is the only 3 day bank holiday weekend throughout the winter. So it’s great to be able to get away and do something fun with it. The water is still reasonably warm in the Far North in early June – the weather can be anything from gales to flat calm, but it’s rarely very cold. Mid afternoon in the sun, and you’re comfortable in teeshirt and shorts.
The weekend is designed with a late start on Saturday and an early finish on the Monday, so as to allow those travelling from further afield plenty of time to get to and from their home. For more info on the schedule for each day, check these:
